Miken Primo Supermax 12" Review

2019 Miken Freak Primo 12″ Supermax USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat: MPR12U
12 Inch Barrel Length
2 1/4 Inch Barrel Diameter
SuperMax (1.0 oz) Endload
100 Comp Formula Uses 100% Premium Aerospace Grade Fiber For Insane Durability
Two-Piece, Composite Slowpitch Bat
Triple Matrix Core + Technology Increases Composite Volume By 15%, Eliminating Seams To Maximize Durability

I finally got my hands on one and was able to put about 60 swings on it today. I got it with "low hits" which I am guessing to mean about 200.

Endload
I can definitely feel the full oz endload on this. It has that sledgehammer feel that I have been craving since I starting swinging a 2019 Easton Redline helmer. If you like big endloads, this is a big one.

To compare it to other bats I've been swinging, it feels the same (maybe a hair heavier) than my 2019 Easton redline, and it feels less endload than my 27oz 2019 Easton Wegman (1.5oz endload player optimized weighting).

Feel
I don't really swing Miken much, so I didn't really know what to expect. The barrel was definitely very crisp, and I could tell when I missed the sweetspot. There was nothing bad to say about the feel, but I think I prefer (or am used of) my redline.

The sound is comparable to other Miken/Worth 2019 bats I've heard and swung.

Performance
Not much to say here, it's Miken, so it hits the ball well. All top of the line bats perform about the same I would say.

Overall
Overall, pretty impressed so far. I will definitely be bping and I will be swinging it in my next few games to see how it does.

Here are some swings I took. The bag I was hitting is mostly gray dots:

Thanks for the review

Did you ever try the OG BJ Fulk 2PC? The Black one from Worth? If so, is it similar?

That Fulk Elite, if that's what your talking about, was amazing. Nothing like it since.

I dunno... The sound on the vids out there don't seem the same as the Elite. It was a softer sound to me and didn't have the MIKEN Ping sound like the Primo 12 seems to have.

I can confirm that I have hit some silly shots with this bat.

I've been gaming this bat exclusively for about 2 weeks now, and have another 150-200 swings on it. I am definitely getting a greater variety of results and spins on the ball. Sure I am getting farther fly balls, but I am also getting quite a bit more knuckling liners or top spin shots. However, since I think that I am also hitting balls harder, I am happy with the results. If I go up in a HR situation and try to hit one, but I end up with a top spin liner for a single somewhere, I'm not going to complain lol.

With that being said, I am still convinced that a 27oz is still too heavy for me. I am curious how a 26 would feel, but I am sure it would feel a bit too light. So I have decided to go all in and only swing this 27 primo supermax.

Here is video of my last bp session. I was working on hitting hard through the infield for a lot of this, so keep that in mind if you watch:

Looks like you hit a couple rockets with not much effort in there.

The performance on this bat is top notch, no question.
With that being said, this bat is a real sledgehammer, so if it looks like I am not using much effort, rest assured I am using my whole body to get that bat moving lol.
