I had my worst year ever in ball last year and the only fun I ended up having was playing coed or subbing for my buddies team and personal felt defeated and don't wanna go through that again. I would rather just play with friends and enjoy myself
quality post, you'll come out on top

Hopefully you find what your looking for Purdy. Glad you guys played for a season and maybe your team will come back in the future! Sounds like it's gonna be another great season of ball for the league. Maybe Pony will let me spare on his team this year. LOL

Just thought I would mention that if any teams are in need of a spare this year, don't hesitate to drop me a line. I can't commit fully to a team due to working shifts but it would be great to get out and play in the league that I schedule for.
Cheers!

Just reading another post on SFO about balls in league and got me thinking about the ball we're currently using.

Does anyone else feel like the ball we're using has resulted in a huge increase in bombs? Heck, I've even hit two this year.
Also, better not blink if playing the infield....

Not complaining (I play OF ), just an observation.

Thoughts?

Shannon....I've wanted hot dots in league the last 2 years but everyone keeps voting golds back every time at the meetings. The way I see it is...every other time we play whether it's local tourneys or provies..every association now uses hot dots...so why continue to use them in league. It's just common sense to me...that's my 2 cents.

Wow! You guys are still using Gold Dots? With it getting colder the next while those things will be missiles. Really surprised that you haven't went to Thumbprint bats and Hot Dots. In those parks that would be a great combination - still gotta earn a HR and nobody gets killed...

Not to mention it's pretty much the standard anywhere else you play now...

Not really a part of this league - but am very confused as to why leagues are still not using thumbprint + hot dot.
