I don't get why

some SFO dudes post their softball stuff up for sale on FB or kijiji and not here,
especially when it's not selling there.
I mean they are totally within their rights to do so and it isn't against the law as Rudy Giuliani would say but that's part of the reason why foot-traffic to SFO is declining. I have no problem with people listing their stuff here AND there.

My pet peeve. If you want the site to remain relevant you gotta support it.

It may be more about selling to an informed seller, and the bottom line $$$.
Are you going to get more for your used car at a lot (informed buyer), or a private buyer (often clueless but loves the color)?
This community is very informed and aware of what items should cost, or quite often a deal price on here. From a personal income standpoint, why not sell to the uninformed stranger for another $50-$100. Pretty sure there was a great example of that here recently BUT I'm not trying to hash that banter up again.
Just my $0.02.
Cheers, Sadz
PS you may be judging site traffic in the worst year in human history due to Covid. Apples and oranges...hopefully it comes back with a vengeance in the next year or two.
Until people are back at it heavy, and they need the "latest and greatest" tool for the extra 5' of distance (LMAO), it will be a tough road.

Agree with this completely...point blank, you can sell for probably at least 10% more on kijjiji, FB, Varage Sale, etc. than you can on here. Some guys like the comfort of dealing here and savings dudes a little cash, others don't care who they sell to, as long as they make the most money. Neither is wrong, and people can do as they wish...previously, I've posted here for $XXX and on kijiji the same bat for $YYY, always higher on kijiji.

Baseball was on the backburner for most this year, and some guys, like myself, didn't even see the diamond...first time since I was 4! As long as leagues and tournies go next year, SFO should be much busier come Feb/Mar.
